About Us

ZDT's Amusement Park: Family Fun since 2007!

A Snapshot of Our History
We first opened our doors in March 2007, gracing Seguin with its only Family Entertainment Center, housing five indoor attractions under one roof. Our moniker, ZDT's, pays homage to the three children of the park's owners: Zac, Danielle, and Tiffany—a testament to our deep-rooted family values.

Stepping Up the Game

From the beginning, ZDT’s set out to bring family entertainment to Seguin. We launched with five indoor attractions under one roof, and quickly began expanding. By our second year, GoKarts hit the track, followed closely by even more attractions. In 2010, we introduced our first water ride—the thrilling Mad Raft Water Coaster.

Then came Switchback—our pride and joy and the world’s first modern wooden shuttle coaster. Designed uniquely for our park, Switchback sends riders soaring through buildings, over rooftops, and up the tallest Grand Spike of its kind. Named after the Switchback Railway of 1884, it honors the roots of American amusement while offering a record-breaking ride experience.

But we’ve always been about more than just rides. Every building at ZDT’s is steeped in history, remodeled from its original use—grain warehouses, grocery storage, and even old train lines—into something magical. Whether you’re driving GoKarts through an old grain processing plant or walking past a vintage Santa Fe train car on your way to the water park, you’re experiencing a story that’s as much about the past as it is about play.

And now, after nearly two decades of doing what we love, we’re getting ready to turn the page.

ZDT’s final day of operation will be Sunday, August 17, 2025.

We’ve poured our hearts into this park, and it’s been an honor to share it with so many families over the years. Whether you visited once or made us part of your regular traditions, thank you for being part of the ZDT’s story.

There’s still time to ride Switchback, race GoKarts, and take one last splash. We’d love to see you around the park—one more time.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Donhauser Family
